My Story
My professional journey began some 30 plus years ago in the field of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental which is where I hold my degrees and professional certifications. For the past 20 years or so I've spent endless hours conducting research trying to understand
what drives us to think as act as we do as a means of preventing accidents and injuries. As a result, my research led me away from my profession's mainstream of thought into other fields such as the social and cognitive sciences. Fields of study that were apparently foreign to mine own and yet the more I followed my researched the more alienated and out of sync I felt and yet I'm thankful for where it led me.
Mind the Influence is about learning to being mindful of influences that affect our beliefs, thought processes, decisions and judgements. The intent of Mind the Influence is to share my findings with you in hopes you will have a better understanding of these influences, how they can affect you, lead you to better thought processes and outcomes, and most importantly steers you away from the wrong influences that can potentially cause high anxiety, depression and mental illnesses that are rampant in our society.
I make no claims to be anyone other than myself, my work and my research are of my own making. To the many of great scholars, scientist and authors that have given me the knowledge to share this with other in hopes that they too may be able to see what it is they fail to see.
